🔮 HEXPLANATION 🔮

My reviews often lead me down increasingly obscure and stupid rabbit holes. Given that all of the games I've talked about had a renaissance of activity during a period of the internet which has been long since deleted, the only way to find firsthand information about this stuff is to tunnel down through random Internet Archive links.

A lot of the time, I end up going on detours through parts of the early internet which aren't directly related to whatever video I'm working on, and I run into small pieces of unique art and culture, hidden deep in the recesses of Internet Archive's servers. Knowing that, if I don't steal these for myself now, they might never be seen again, I've sacreligiously amassed a ton of grave-robbed goods from the early internet.

Most of this stuff comes from Japanese Geocities pages from 1998~2008. While there's obviously some bias in my curation, it's interesting to look at these pictures and see both how much and how little has changed in 20 years. If we're lucky, people 20 years from now might still care about what we're doing today, too.

I did not make anything on this page, everything is provided as-is with no context and no organization. All rites reversed, please pilfer whatever you want and use it for your own entertainment/enjoyment.
